With multiple rhymes and a File Folder Activity this emergent math skill resource is very popular in junior school classrooms. It demystifies the concept of fractions, drawing on children's prior knowledge, they come to understand that fractions as just like puzzles. This rhyme and math resource is just one of the many ways you can promote self confidence in young children particularly those getting ready to start school.

Children just love the catchy rhyme of this one!!! As they sing away they learn about colours and shapes. Its a popular one with infants and toddlers , although the older children enjoy it too (even my 14 year old goes round singing it, but then she does plan on becoming a early childhood teacher)

What do you think happens when Five Little Monkeys jump on the bed? Up to mischief, jumping on the bed, one after another they fall off and bump, their heads. Each time, Mama calls the doctor and the doctor says? . . . "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" But they take no notice and continue jumping on the bed until they have all fallen off! 

This is an awesome resources for any teacher and is a must have in amongst your everyday teaching resources. This is another integrated teaching resource based on a preschool rhyme that can be used in multiple ways. This is not based on the nursery rhyme, its a song. This was one of my most favourite teaching resources and the children always requested it.

Here's a song the preschoolers never seem to tire of. These yummy currant buns with their colourful sprinkles on the top are great for role play when teaching children about money and how to make a purchase. There have also ben designed as an integrated resource, and they work well in supporting the learning and development of pre maths and math skills, not just counting.
